#2mater are a UK based race team who partake in the Legends Championship. They thrive on their brand and appearance and utilise this to raise money for a number of charities. Above all else, they simply want to have fun!
Refresh! key word, this was the fundamental request from the client. Their old site was usable and served a purpose, but it was plain and not that interesting. The brief was to refresh and redesign what was and turn it into a more modern, fun site to match the fun aesthetic of the 2mater brand.
At Casper Creative we understand clients want to see a drastic difference when asking for new site. We feel by researching a variety of sports teams, sports in general, adrenaline race teams etc. we were able to turn a drab site into something more akin to something you’d see all over youtube in the action cam category! There were certain things we needed to keep, such as the countdown timer for each race, a gallery of sorts and the season results and calendar.
Having dealt with 2mater in the past we had a rough understanding of the clients needs and wants. We therefore went through the list and made sure we could deliver certain requests.
The main premise was to utilise the fun side of 2mater and give it that fun feel. The design inspiration came from sites with a less serious tone and simple layout. The whole point of 2mater is to show off the race car, so the site evolved around that image!
Utilising Wordpress as the CMS was key as the user would need to access and have the ability to add to the custom post types created throughout the site. We also made sure the site was fully ready for mobile optimisation due to the need to access race dates and times in any location.
Post-launch, we ensured the race countdown clock, race standings and contact form were all linked correctly and ready to use. We offer post-job service for amendments and tweaks the customer may want as despite being a brochure site, information can change regularly.
We are proud to showcase 2mater’s new website as we feel it not only shows off the brand, but has a clean modern feel that will last. As the team grows the site can easily expand show off more of the fun they have over at 2mater!
We feel we have provided a site that offers the audience a small glimpse into the brand that is 2mater!
